Multi-department KPI dashboard
Big Bear Vans. One dashboard for payroll, budgets, expenses and cash flow across a 50+ person team, replacing a stack of separate spreadsheets.
Available for projects · US, UK and worldwide
I'm Zaineb Khalid, an accountant and financial consultant working with small and growing businesses in the US and abroad. I handle the bookkeeping, payroll and reporting you keep pushing to next week, and I send you numbers you can actually make decisions with.
Services
Every engagement follows a clear set of steps, so you know what happens each month and what lands in your inbox. Choose a service below.
Your transactions categorised correctly every month, every bank and card account reconciled, and a clean close you can hand to a lender or CPA without apologising for it.
Accurate pay runs on time, with deductions, reimbursements and records kept in order. I’ve run payroll for teams of more than 50 people, so the edge cases don’t surprise me.
Monthly statements that explain the business, not just list it. You get the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, plus notes on the three or four numbers that moved and why.
A budget you’ll actually use and a cash forecast that tells you, weeks ahead, when money will be tight. Useful before hiring, buying stock or signing a lease.
I don’t replace your CPA. I make their job faster and cheaper: books closed, schedules prepared, contractor 1099-NECs tracked and documents organised before tax season starts.
Find out which products, clients or jobs actually make money. I’ve built weighted-average inventory and COGS models for e-commerce, so margin questions get real answers.
Bills paid on time, invoices sent promptly and overdue customers chased politely before they become a cash problem. You see the ageing report, not the admin.
I use data tools and AI where they save real time: automated data pulls, dashboards that refresh on their own and anomaly checks that catch odd transactions early. A person still reviews every number.

You speak to me, not a sales rep. In 30 minutes on Google Meet we look at where your books stand, what’s slowing you down and what it would take to fix it. You leave with a clear next step, whether or not we work together.
Reconcile your bank accounts every month. Catch-up work always costs more than keeping up.
Portfolio
A few projects from my client and in-house roles. Client figures stay private, so the visuals below show the structure of each piece of work.

Vankea. Weighted-average inventory and COGS model for an e-commerce business, so product margins were based on real landed costs.
Intellifyx. Financial reporting pulled from source data with SQL and Python, then presented in Power BI for monthly review.
Forecasting project. A Python and Pandas model that projects revenue from historical sales, with a range rather than a single guess.

Behind on your books?
If your books are three, six or twelve months behind, you’re not the first. I’ll reconcile the backlog, fix the categories and get you to a clean month-end, then keep it that way.

Yes. I work with clients in the US and internationally. The work runs through your accounting software, shared folders and Google Meet.
QuickBooks Online, Xero and Zoho Books for the books, Excel and Google Sheets for schedules and models, and Power BI or Looker Studio for dashboards. If you already use one of these, we stay on it.
Most clients pay a fixed monthly fee based on transaction volume, number of accounts and whether payroll is included. Catch-up and one-off projects are quoted separately. You get a written quote after the free call.
I’m not a US CPA and I don’t sign returns. I prepare tax-ready books, schedules and 1099 data and work alongside your CPA, which usually shortens their time and your bill.
You add me as a user in your accounting software with the access level you choose. I never need your bank login. Documents are shared through a folder you control.
It depends on how many transactions and accounts are involved. After the free call I give you a timeline in writing before any work starts.
Shortly after the call I send a short summary of what I found, a proposed scope and a fixed quote. If it makes sense, we set up access and start with the next month-end.
Yes. Monthly work runs month to month, and you can stop with notice. Your books and files stay yours at all times.

Bookkeeping · 7 min read
The order I work in when a client is six months behind: statements first, then reconciliations, then categories, then the month-end. Plus what to hand your bookkeeper on day one.
Cash flow · 5 min read
Four numbers to check every month and how a simple 13-week forecast warns you about a tight month before it arrives.
Automation · 6 min read
Bank-feed rules, receipt capture and anomaly checks help. Judgement calls, tax positions and client conversations still need a person.
